Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Glitch Maps (“App”, “Service”). By using the App you agree to these Terms.

1) What Glitch Maps Is

Glitch Maps is an entertainment/community app to share and browse unexplained or unusual experiences. Content is user-generated and not verified. Do not use the App for emergencies, safety-critical, or medical decisions.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13. If 13–17, you need a parent/guardian’s consent. The App is intended for use in regions where it is lawful to use.

3) Your Content & License

• You retain rights to your posts. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate your content in the App.
• You must not post illegal, harassing, hateful, sexual, violent, doxxing, or deceptive content; no spam or scams.
• You represent your content does not infringe others’ rights.

4) Location & Privacy

• We do not store precise GPS. All public pins are randomized by ~100–300 meters before submission. Only the randomized point is stored/displayed.
• We may collect a device identifier/token solely to deliver notifications. We do not sell or share personal information.

5) Safety & Moderation

• Each pin includes a “Report” control with reason options. Reported items are hidden for the reporter and may be queued for review or removed.
• We may rate-limit posting and suspend accounts/devices for abuse.

6) Prohibited Uses

• No attempts to reveal a user’s exact location, stalk, or harass.
• No scraping, reverse engineering, or circumventing security.
• No use for emergency dispatching or claims of verified facts.

7) Disclaimers

Service provided “AS IS” without warranties. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or that content reflects reality.

8) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glitch Maps and its owners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations. You may delete your data any time via “Delete all my stuff”.

10) Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted in-app/website with a new “Last updated”.
